About

Founded by dance artist Madge Reyes in 2020, FIFTH WALL is an independent platform dedicated to presenting dance through multidisciplinary expression. Its mission is to hold space for movement that is crafted for the unconventional stage – meeting and bridging gaps through performance, film, exhibition, discussion, and more. Its flagship annual gathering is a culmination of all these forms, while it continues to foster dialogue and innovation within local and international dance communities by means of experimental and commercial activations throughout the year.

The "fifth wall" is the imaginary barrier that guests pass once they exit a venue after a cultural experience, to return to their everyday lives. With this namesake in mind, FIFTH WALL revolves around the idea of engaging movement-minded individuals to go beyond the fifth wall for a boundless celebration of dance from all angles®.
